Suuns offer dark noise rock disco to groove to, rather than completely wig out to, and it’s so easy to feel as the beat takes hold. But after three albums it’s safe to say we’ve felt fully and a shift is required to keep on dancing, for I’ve danced on my bedroom floor long enough to ‘Music Won’t Save You’. With album number four it’s time for the four piece avant-rockers to ascend from the darkness and into the suun, one sax freak out at a time.
May feels like quite some time ago now, but the memories of Transformer still burn fairly brightly in my mind. Like a candle half way through bright. A full day of music from musicians heavily influenced by Lou Reed, hence the name Transformer, and not a full day of music from musicians heavily influenced by robots in disguise.
